About

Narrow Highway is a curated internet for Christian families. The good ole days in a box.

What it is

One safe site that holds the things a family needs in one place — entertainment, study, tools, music, prayer, a way to ask hard questions, a way to play. Built so a child who has only this site has enough.

Underneath the retro surface is a real engine: a substrate of Scripture and patristics, alignment gates that filter every piece of content, signed receipts on what we keep, and 69 domain verifiers the engine consults when a claim touches their subject (physics, biology, theology, scripture-anchors, statistics, and the rest). The surface is the 70s-90s family-television feel. The engine is what makes it trustworthy.

Who serves here

The site serves Jesus Christ. It is a conduit, not a source. Good fruit is the measure.

You'll see Shepherd, our conversational layer, on every page (the chip in the bottom-right). Shepherd helps with navigation, schoolwork, tools, content. Shepherd is also willing — when asked — to speak plainly about Christ. Default mode is quiet servant. Once you ask the big questions, the answer is honest.

"The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
— Romans 6:23

What we don't do

No advertising. No data collection beyond what serves you. No paywalls on the content. No begging. No tracking pixels. No engagement-bait. No content that's already widely available unless we add something — usually a pastoral observation at the end.

The economic model is the opposite of the modern web. Most of the content here is public domain. The marquee productions we make — animated shows, audio dramas — are sponsor-funded or free. If we ever charge for anything, it'll be for craft tier work (signed receipts, dedicated archives, custom production) — never for access to the content.

Who built it

Built by Matt Harris, with a tiny family team, with help from Claude and other tools that don't replace judgment — they extend it. Every piece of content passes an alignment gate before it ships. Every system that serves you is signed.
