We don't process credit cards. On principle. The only way to send us money is via a self-custodial crypto wallet — one where you hold the keys, you control the timing, and nobody (including us) can charge you without your explicit signature.
If you don't have a wallet yet, this page is the path. Three steps. One afternoon.
Easiest pick: Coinbase Wallet. This is the mobile app (iOS or Android) that's self-custodial — NOT the Coinbase exchange. You hold your keys, not them. Has a built-in onramp so step 2 is fast.
Coinbase Wallet (mobile)All of these are self-custodial — they store keys on your device, not on a server. You're responsible for backing up your recovery phrase. Write it down, put it somewhere safe.
USDC is a dollar-stable cryptocurrency: 1 USDC = $1, no volatility. Base is an Ethereum layer-2 with fees under a penny per transaction.
Coinbase Wallet has a built-in onramp — tap "Buy", connect a payment method (bank or debit card), choose USDC on Base, send to your wallet. Other wallets let you buy through a partner like MoonPay or Banxa.
You can start with as little as $5–10 if you just want to verify the flow. Once you've done it once, you'll know how.
Open our support page, pick an amount, click Send via wallet. Your wallet pops up; you confirm. It's done in 5 seconds, costs you a fraction of a cent, and lands in our wallet on-chain.
Try $1 first to learn the rhythm. Then send your real amount.
Open the support page →What if I lose my recovery phrase?
You lose access to your funds. We can't help — we don't have it. Back up your phrase in two places (a written note in a fire-safe + a password manager) before you fund the wallet.
Is this a scam?
No. We're not asking for your seed phrase, your password, or your money up-front. We publish our wallet address publicly. Anyone can verify our entire transaction history at /wallet-transparency.html or on a public block explorer.
What if I just want to use what I already have?
If you have ETH or USDC in MetaMask or any wallet already, you can send from there directly. The address on our support page is the same regardless.
Can my family share one wallet?
Yes. Many households have a single "family wallet" for things like this. Set it up once together, store the seed phrase, decide who can authorize sends.
I want to support but I cannot use a crypto wallet.
The decision to not process credit cards is principled — we accept that some families won't be able to give us money through these rails. There are other ways to help: contribute content, share family recipes, contribute lessons, tell your church about us, mention us in a homeschool group. The substrate compounds either way.
